If your child has been referred with a concerning lesion of the head, face, mouth or neck, a procedure can be arranged, commonly in the office setting, to provide a diagnosis for the lesion and help to put your mind at ease. Depending upon the area of concern, your child’s surgeon will help you decide if the procedure can be completed under local anesthesia (numbing medication) or if your child would benefit from being asleep in the office or operating room setting.
